Last week I had a fabric sourcing trip with my school to Hong Kong. We went there on 12 February and went back to Singapore on 18 February. For the whole week there I search for fabric and trimmings that I will use in my graduation collection. So, in this post I will go through the first day when I arrived in Hong Kong.
I went to the airport early in the morning at 5 a.m. and waited for my flight at about 8 a.m. The flight were about less than 4 hours, after arriving at Hong Kong we immediately went to the hotel by bus. We stayed at Kimberley Hotel at 28 Kimberly Road, the area was really nice and quite near to the MTR. After arriving at the hotel and getting keys to our room, my lecturer told us if we want to go around with them we can meet in the hotel lobby at 4 p.m., since we arrived there on Sunday, the stores in Sham Sui Po are close, so we have got that day as free time.. Since this is the first time I go to Hong Kong, I decided to go with them after putting my luggage.
After meeting up, we went to the Tsim Sha Sui MTR Station and buy Octopus cards that we will use for the whole week. We went to the harbour and ride a boat across to Central, after arriving there we walk to one of the high-end mall and sightsee for awhile before the lecturers left us on our own. I went exploring the area together with my friends, from Central we explored until the Causeway Bay, before we went back to the hotel.
That ends day I arrived at Hong Kong, the next posts will be the start of days I search for fabric. Look forward to it!
